Hui Wen's Birthday at Essential Brew

Dear Pink Bloggie

The night in 17 July 2009 is a special and memorable night. A girl named Hui Wen is celebrating her belated 19th birthday with all of her friends. I really had so much fun with all my girls. I have always wanted to vist Essential Brew because it received good critics from the local media. I would definitely want to recommend this restaurant to those who are thinking of hanging out with their friends. The ambience is just excellent.

Their food is yummy too. I ordered the Earl's Grey Steak dinner set meal. Soup of the day is Cream of Mushroom:) One of my favourite soup. I ordered summer peach as my choice of drink. The Steak tastes nice and chewy. Summer peach is fragant too. When I took my first sip of the drink, I could taste a bit of flower scent. It is just delicious. I just love summer peach. Brenda ordered a salmon set. I also like Cranberry Lustre ordered by Brenda. It tasted sour and sweet. Bee Teng and Hui Wen both ordered Cajun Dory fish set. Karen ordered Dory Fish cream pasta. Jean ordered salmon pasta. I am amazed at the way Karen eats. She puts sooooooo much Tobasco sauce such that the cream pasta tasted very sour. She really has a very strong taste when it comes to food:)

After hanging out at Essential Brew, we were thinking of going to 2 am dessert bar. After much discussions, we went to a bar at Holland Village. Bars at Holland Village are filled with Caucasians. Is the bar called Tapas wine Bistro? I can't remember. This is my first experience at a bar and it was great. Karen ordered Archer's Peach. Brenda ordered some lime alcoholic drink. Hui Wen ordered Tequilla. As for me, I don't have the intention to order any alcoholic drinks. However, I was tempted to order one so I chose Lychee Liquor. Initially, I want to drink Lychee Martini but I couldn't find it. I only found Lychee Liquor. Brenda's drink is not that strong. I could only taste a bit of the alcohol. Karen's Archer Peach is nice because I could finally taste the alcohol content inside:) As for Hui Wen's Tequilla, it was just too strong for me. I could not stand it. As for my drink, I think Lychee Liquor is just right for me. Karen also ordred another glass of white wine, I suppose? I tasted the wine but I still prefer red wine because the taste is stronger.

I thought I will resist alcoholic drinks but I had a fun time drinking my Lychee Liquor. All thanks to my mum who trains me when I turned 18 years old. Whenever my mum drinks, she would ask me to accompany her to have a sip. The same goes to my Uncle. Whenever I was holidaying in Xi An, China, he would always ask me to have a sip of the Chinese Wine. Frankly speaking, I hated it becuse the alcohol content is just too high, even higher than Vodka. Chinese Wine such as Mao Tai can have 5o% of alcohol in it:) As time goes by, my ability to tolerate alcoholic drinks perhaps have increased:):)

If there are chances for me to enter a bar again, I would like to try funny cocktail drinks such as "Sex On the Beach" and "Singapore Sling". After hanging out at the bar, it's time to head home. I must say I was really enjoying myself on a Friday night:):)
